Dear Parents,

In these strange times, we know it is difficult. In order to help families look ahead, we are planning on running with the current schedule through the first week of February. Another Board meeting will take place next month and the administration will reconsider where the County is at as far as health metrics. We miss our students who remain home, but we understand that parents are making the best decision for their families.

“Fun with Phonograms” products have been in existence since 1986 and were copyrighted and created by career educator, certified reading specialist, and school principal, Cindy Franklin. They have been used by schools and home-school parents with great results.

Doodle for Google Art Contest submissions are open for entries until February 26th, 2021.


How to enter this year's theme "I am Strong Because..."

Students can work with any materials they want, but all doodles must be entered using the entry form. Parents and teachers can turn in student's work to Ms. Shaffer to submit it online.

  1. Download or print the entry form.
  2. Doodle: Artists create their Doodles using any materials they want. From crayons to clay to found objects.
  3. Write:
    1. Artist’s statement - Tell us about what you have drawn and how it represents your inner strength.
    2. Fill out the rest of the required information and have a parent or guardian sign the entry form.
  4. Submit: Students may enter online, by mail, or submit to Ms. Shaffer one week before due date Feb. 19th


PRIZES
