Ash Wednesday Mass

This coming Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Students should wear their normal uniform for our 8:15am Ash Wednesday school mass. Families are invited to join us for mass. Please sit in the pews in the back left that are reserved for families and guests. If you want your child to sit with you, please wait for them as their class comes to mass. Inform the teacher that you are taking your child to sit with you in the back (like we do at regular school mass).

Mass with the Archbishop

Bonus Vacation Day

Our Catholic Schools Office has given us the gift of an extra vacation day at Spring Break. Spring Break will now begin on Friday, March 11th! The 11th will be a NO SCHOOL day for both students and staff. This was not on the calendar put out this fall, so please make sure you mark this new day off on your calendar. We will return from Spring Break on Monday, March. 21st.

SALT Day of Service

Friday, April 1st will be our SALT Day of Service this year! Please save the date, and if possible, make plans to join us that day as a volunteer! Many classes will need field trip drivers or help with various projects on our campus. Teachers will reach out with grade level details soon!

SALT T-Shirts

All students and staff are entitled to one free SALT shirt to wear on our CSSE Day of Service or when performing grade level service through our SALT program (Serve Appreciate Love Teach).

If you have lost a shirt and need a replacement, fill out the form and send $10 payment to the school office marked “SALT Shirt Replacement” and include your student's name. Checks should be made out to St. Eugene School.

If your student's shirt still fits, no action is necessary! Just make sure you have located it and it's ready to wear on April 1st!

Form must be submitted by March 9th to guarantee availability. Questions? Contact Brigitte Silvernail. Link to order a NEW shirt or Exchange

Gala News!

Gala Sponsorships Available!

Enable St. Eugene to do a tremendous amount of good in our community and beyond by committing to a sponsorship! In return we will create for you a fantastic opportunity to position your business to a valuable demographic in Oklahoma City metro and outlying communities—and you’ll have some fun in the process.

Your tax-deductible donation to the St. Eugene Gala is both a philanthropic gesture and a great promotional opportunity for your business.

Choose your level of sponsorship and either pay online or request to be invoiced. If you have any questions or would like more information you can reach out to Kari Webber at 405-323-7173.

Reserve Your Tickets!

We hope that you will join us for Bubbles & Bowties: A Party with a Purpose on April 22, 2022 at the Skirvin Hilton.

The annual St. Eugene Gala is the biggest fundraiser of the year for our school. Not only is it a night of raising money for our children's education and our parish, but we have fun doing it. Our galas are nothing short of an evening to remember, and now that we are finally back in person, we are going all out!

While you mingle with fellow St. Eugene parents and parishioners, there will be live and silent auctions to participate in, with must have items to win. There will be excellent cuisine, musical entertainment, games to play, drinks to enjoy, and just an exciting adult night out.

Enjoy it all while supporting our parish, our school, and our school staff, who continue to provide The Education You Pray For.

Hurry and get your tickets and make plans to join us for an incredible evening together!

News on Repeat

Don't Lose Your Seat!

Thank you to the families who have taken the time to fill out their re-enrollment packets online! We have been reviewing new student applications, and will begin sending out acceptance letters. If you intend to return in the Fall, it is of utmost importance that you complete your enrollment, otherwise your student may lose their seat. We do have some grade levels that are close to or at capacity with a wait list. Early Childhood spots are always in demand, so families with younger children should fill out re-enrollment ASAP.

Make sure you apply for new siblings now so they receive preference when we begin reviewing new student applications this month!

If you do NOT intend to re-enroll for 2022-23, please email Mrs. Metz (tuitiondirector@steugeneschool.org) so we know your child's spot is available.

SAFETY REMINDERS FOR EAGLE COVE/SOUTH LOT DROP OFF

1. If you are dropping off a preschool student in Eagle Cove, make sure your older children who are walking to the main school doors stay on the sidewalk rather than cross through the parking lot.

2. When you leave Eagle Cove, join the carpool line to exit. Do not drive around the cars that are actively dropping off students. Some of our students exit the driver side doors, and drivers may not see you coming around them on their left side.

3. Drop off goes more smoothly if those leaving Eagle Cove are able to enter the exit line behind the group of 3 cars that have just completed drop off. It allows the staff on carpool duty to attend to three cars at once and keep the line moving quickly.

Thank you for following these procedures to keep everyone safe!

REFER YOUR FRIENDS!

You are our best school representatives! Please share with family and friends why you love St. Eugene! Encourage them to apply or take a tour. A successful referral could result in a tuition credit for your family! See the details in Mrs. Goldsworthy’s February 5th parent email.

Eagle Excellence

Have some news to celebrate? Let us know about your student's achievements, family joys, or give a shout out to a staff member so we can celebrate their Eagle Excellence!

Parish & Community News

Check the Monthly Minister’s Schedule! The new minister’s schedule for St. Eugene is out for February, March and April. Make sure you check the schedule for your child’s name if they are an altar server. If your child no longer participates in this ministry, please secure a substitute for your assigned dates and update the church office. We are always looking for more volunteers to serve at weekend mass as lectors, cantors, altar servers, ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Vocare chalice recipients, and more. Contact the church office to find out how you can grow your spiritual life through greater participation in the mass!

Renew Your Spiritual Life this New Year! Ready to give your spiritual life a boost? Sign up for Bible in a Year and Catholic Sprouts daily podcasts! These are great resources to help you learn more about our Catholic faith and develop a deeper relationship with God.
