Happy Spring to you all! (Ok, I know Spring doesn't officially start for a few more weeks, but the snow and ice is finally melting, so as far as I'm concerned, Spring is here!) We had a lot of fun playing in the snow, but I'm ready for our schedules to get back to normal.
We had another great turnout at our February HAMOM meeting! I'm glad so many of you were able to make it out. We had fun socializing and decorating cupcakes. I appreciate Ashley Lang working with me to get everything prepped for this meeting.
Our next meeting will be on March 17, social time starting at 6:30 with the meeting at 7:00. Our plan for this meeting is to have an information meeting with a question and answer session about Early Intervention and then pre-k/early education. We will have a representative from Early Intervention there to talk to us about that program. Our own Georgina Nelson will also be on hand to answer questions about the Madison City Schools pre-k program (registration for the public school pre-k programs begins in April). In addition, my hope is that those of us who have kids who have already "graduated" to elementary school will also be able to answer questions about other early childhood education and daycare experiences.
At this meeting, we will also spend some time discussing our upcoming MOMsMart (March 27-28). If you are planning to consign and haven't yet registered for this sale, please do so ASAP. Whether you are consigning or not, please help us get the word out about this sale. We have the electronic versions of the flyers and Early Shoppers passes for you to share with your local area friends. MOMsMart is our biggest fundraiser for the club - the more people who come shop, the more money we make and the more awesome HAMOM things we can do!
Speaking of awesome HAMOM events, for the past 2 years we have been able to do a HAMOM Easter Egg Hunt. This year, because of the timing of Spring Break, MOMsMart, and Easter, we are not going to be able to do an Easter Egg Hunt before the Easter weekend. We want to still have a fun, Spring family event, so we are going to do a HAMOM spring picnic instead. Look for more information coming soon with the details!
I want to also take time in this newsletter to thank Lindsey Carroll and Jessi Sauter for everything they have been doing to organize the HAMOM play dates. This is a great addition to HAMOM! Great job ladies!
I hope everyone has a great start to the month and that I will see you all on the 17th!
Have a great day,
MOM to Owen and Grace, 6 years old
