A message from Mr. Finkle!
I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! Please take this time to enjoy some quality time with family and friends.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of "If A Man Answers!" The show was completely entertaining and I laughed a great deal due to your timing and delivery of the lines. Theater is alive and well here in Delran and I am waiting with baited breath for our Spring Musical...Little Shop of Horrors.
I also wish to congratulate Caitlyn Auguste, Sophia Chasca, Javera Chaudhry, Andrew Chojnacki, and Kelly Deschaine for auditioning and being chosen for the All South Jersey Regional Choir! They will perform on January 27th and 28th at Washington Township High School.
Our Student Government is also very busy planning an Adult Talent Show to be put on in late December. Our teachers will be showcasing their talents beyond what they do in the classroom. More about this in future issues. It will be an event you can't miss!
Coming up December 4-9 is the Computer Science Education Week and the
Delran Schools are celebrating with a variety of Hour of Code activities. Click HERE to see activities planned at DHS and at the other schools throughout the district!
If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at dfinkle@delranschools.org or 856-461-6100 x3005.
Athletic News
Another exciting Fall season has come to an end. Boys' Soccer, Girls' Cross Country and Field Hockey were all division champions. Many students received BCSL conference and South Jersey honors. Delran is so proud of the students and coaches who made this Fall so special.
Delran Swimming and Bowling practices have already begun. Their first competitions will take place on December 1st. Basketball and Wrestling begin official practices on November 27. Their seasons officially begin on December 15th. Watch all of the action from the comfort of your home by subscribing to www.nfhsnetwork.com on the Delran home page. Ordering a subscription will give you access to every home game in the Delran High School main gym. Subscriptions start as low as $9.99 per month.
If your child gets a new physical, do not wait to turn it in. The procedure for approval has been altered due to the change in school physician. Turn all new physicals into Mr. Guidotti or Ms. Jordan on any Monday of any month so that the approval process can be completed efficiently. Any issues with ATS, please contact the main office for guidance. The Winter season is shaping up to be another memorable time for the students of Delran. Go Bears!!!
Lockheed Martin Women in Engineering Day Tower Winners
Last Friday, the following young ladies attended the Lockheed Martin Women in Engineering Day. The Delran team was an exceptional group of young women who took home the prize for the best constructed tower of all 20 competing schools! Pictured are Brooke Hennigan, Kendal Coldren, Khushi Patel, Adriana Puleo and Lynelle Clervil.
Special thanks goes to Mrs. Ma, a DHS parent whom was an amazing guide and donated her time to participate with our students. The girls and Mrs. DeMichele are grateful for her support.

Alumni Walk
Alumni Walk Update- We are paving the way to celebrate Bear Pride! The latest pavers were installed last week along with the an Inlay from the Class of 2016! The Advisors from the Class of 2017 are working on their inlay design. We are very hopeful this year’s Senior Class will buy a brick and cast their permanent legacy on DHS. It looks like we have established a new tradition of not only allowing a platform for individuals, but also each graduating class as a whole, to leave their mark. Please consider purchasing a brick in order to pave the entire walkway. The link for purchasing a brick is below. We would also like to acknowledge the work of Best Cut Lawn-care and Landscaping for installing our bricks. They have donated their time and talents to DHS and provided their work free of charge. Thanks you Phil Velo and Best Cut.
