The Dead Sea

Location
Also known as the salt sea the Dead Sea is a salt lake bordering Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. It is located in the Jordan Rift Valley.
Elevation
The Dead Sea is 377 Meters deep, the deepest salt lake in the world. It is 55km in length and 18km in width.
Salinity
As one of the worlds saltiest lakes, it has a 33.7% salinity percentage. It is 8.6 times saltier than the ocean.
Environment
The salinity makes it a harsh environment where organisms cannot survive and thrive easily.
Activity
Owning up to its name, the Dead Sea lacks in any sort of wildlife, However is a large tourist attraction.
Human Interaction
As was stated above, it is a main tourist attraction. The sea water has a density of 1.240kg/L which makes swimming similar to floating.
