He was born in Prague, and overcame emotional, physical, and financial stuggles to become a leading twentieth-century writer. After a long illness, Kafka died before many of his work where published.

- Gregor Samsa: A traveling salesman and the protagonist of the story. Gregor hates his job but keeps it because of the obligations he feels to pay off his father’s debt and care for his family. He has transformed into a large bug and spends the rest of his life in that state.
- Gregor’s father: The failure of his business has left him exhausted and emotionally broken, and he is forced to return to work again after Gregor’s metamorphosis.
- Gregor’s mother: Frail and distressed, the mother is torn between her love for Gregor and her horror at Gregor’s new state.
- Grete:Gregor's younger sister. She is the only one in the family with whom Gregor was intimate.
- The Boss: Gregor's boss at work is the great symbol of everything wrong with capitalism. He sits behind his desk, talking down to his employees. Gregor knows that if he calls in sick for the first time in five years, his chief would come in person to call him lazy.
Plot
is about a guy name Gregor Samsa how became a vermin, he didn´t like his job. Decision he made was depending of what his parents will think, because he was very close to them. The much he hate his boss.
