Civilian Conservation Corps
"We can take it!"
CCC
Formed in March of 1933, the Civilian Conservation Corps was made to promote environmental conservation and to build good citizens through harsh labor. It mainly focused on preserving natural resources and helping the community at the same time. President Franklin D. Roosevelt believed that having a program like this would help society as a whole by creating more jobs for people. The CCC would provide much needed jobs and keep people off the streets.
