Something to Chirp About
As a school, Trantwood has some amazing things happening in each classroom that we might not even know about. Many times we see Tweets, Kudos, or pictures about what our amazing staff are doing. As a result, the team from our Leadership Academy wanted to start celebrating the excitement and success happening each week while also encouraging the students to be the voice.
Don’t worry, this isn’t a major undertaking. Instead, we want to share the highlights and give students a voice at the same time. While teachers might Tweet, we thought our tiny cardinals could “chirp” their news!
Here's how it will work. Each classroom will have a Chirp board installed outside of their classroom door. As a class during your morning meeting, we would like you to recap your week with students and give them the chance to share some of their favorite moments from the week. Maybe it was a fun lesson, or an experiment in the Science lab. Maybe the book your reading or the topic your studying has sparked an interest.
Whatever it might be, as a class determine at least one thing that students are proud and excited about that happened each week. It is up to the teacher if they or a student will write the celebration, neat handwriting can be a challenge. Once your class has an idea, write it on your board so that those who pass by can learn more about the amazing things that are happening.
We can’t wait to see and hear more about what the Cardinals are chirping about!
