Coding

What is coding?

Coding is instructions written by a programmer that have been converted into machine language that the computer understands. Coding is what makes up our smart phones, computers and laptops, apps, websites, microwaves, and so much more!

Why is learning code important?

Learning code is beneficial because it will allow you to create your own websites and apps, it'll change the way you think, and make you understand technology more. But most importantly, code is the building blocks of the future. Way back then there used to be computers the sizes of TV screens, but now there's computers that can fit in your pocket. There is no doubt that electronic devices will become even more advanced and sophisticated in the future, and becoming great at coding will earn you a great job that pays a lot!

Jobs that involve coding:

Jobs that involve coding have become more important as computers have become a larger part in our life. Some jobs include software development, network design and administration, 3D animation, data analysis, and hardware engineering.

  • Software development is the business of writing code to create a program or app.

  • Network design and administration focuses on the interaction amid computers.

  • Data analysis is a kind of math and statistics used by insurance companies, government analysts, and many more.

  • Hardware engineering is the construction and design on computers, which is actually a type of coding.

  • 3D Animation is a position in which you design and create either a graphic or 3D animation for software programs, games, movies, and web pages.

Different types of coding:

They are many different types of coding. For example, there is HTML/CSS, Javascript, PHP, Python and Ruby on Rails. HTML is a coding that provides the structure of a webpage, and CCS provides the visual layout. JavaScript is a script language from Netscape. PHP, or hypertext preprocessor, is a HTML-embedded scripting language that is used to create web pages. Ruby on Rails, or just Rails, is an open source framework, providing default formations of a database and/or web page.
