Principal's Message
Happy Holidays Hilltopper Families:
As we joyfully approach the holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. This time of year is a time of reflection and I am incredibly thankful for the dedication of our wonderful staff and your continued partnership and support.
The hallways of Park are filled with excitement, laughter and the unmistakable energy that comes with the joyous festivities of the season like the Sugar Plum Shoppe, holiday assemblies and special classroom projects. There are so many fun activities taking place at Park next week so be sure to ask your students all about them!
Over break, I encourage you to cherish the moments spent with loved ones and appreciate the simple joys that surround us. The quality time you spend together can be better than anything wrapped up in a bow under the tree!
Our students have persevered throughout the year and their growth and achievements are a testament to their hard work. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them. The support they receive from our outstanding educators, staff and YOU is evident in the growth they've made both academically and socially.
As we step into the New Year, I look forward to the continued growth and success of our students! The upcoming months will be a canvas for new experiences, discoveries and achievements, both big and small.
I wish you and your families a joyful and restful holiday break and the best of everything in 2024!
With gratitude and holiday cheer,
Mrs. Makee
It's hard to believe, but winter weather is on the way. At Park, students go outside unless it is below 15 degrees, so they must be prepared each day. That means the following items should come to school daily: COAT, BOOTS, SNOW PANTS, HAT, GLOVES, SCARF, etc. The best way to send these items to school is in a reusable grocery bag. Marc's sells big ones that hold everything nicely and seem to last the season. PLEASE MARK EVERYTHING WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME!!!
A few other things to mention:
We do not wear boots in the classroom, so be sure your child has indoor shoes to wear.
Students without the appropriate snow clothes will not be allowed to play in areas with snow, and will have to remain on the blacktop at recess.
Extra socks come in handy, so feel free to keep an extra pair in the snow gear bag.
Students must be able to dress themselves, which includes zipping coats and putting on gloves.
Thank you Mrs. Puterbaugh on another successful, festive Winter Concert! ❄️🎵
