1st Day of School
What Supplies Should I Bring?
The first day of school is Wednesday, September 1st!
Chromebook Reminder: All students who were previously enrolled in Battle Ground Public Schools should still have their student Chromebook. Please be sure to bring your charged student Chromebook on the first day of school. If you are new to the district and do not have a Chromebook, one will be issued to you in the first couple of weeks. Visit the media center for support.
Bell Schedule and Lunch List
Schedule for the First Week
This is the same schedule for Thursday and Friday (week 1). Our schedule will change the second week of school.
Early and Late Lunch Split
Important Information
Schedules
Schedule changes will be extremely difficult this year and will only be granted for students who are missing graduation requirements, improper placement (i.e. put back into Algebra even though they passed Algebra), or for those who are missing a class during the day. No schedule changes will be granted to change teachers, lunches, or electives. Due to staffing and enrollment changes in the past few months, schedules may have shifted from students’ initial forecasting . While we understand that not everyone will be completely satisfied with their schedules, we simply do not have room to make many changes unless they are absolutely necessary. Google Form to request schedule changes.
Bus Routes available online
Bus routes are now posted on the district website ahead of the new school year that starts on Wednesday, Sept. 1. This year, Battle Ground Public Schools has a new transportation provider, First Student, so pickup and drop-off times may have changed from previous years. Students who live within the 1-mile walking zone, have a boundary exception, or attend an ALE school are not eligible for bus service. For questions about school district bus service, call your school or First Student at (360) 841-7099 EXT. 103 or 104.
Back to School Checklist
Much more information about getting ready for the upcoming school year can be found on our Back to School Checklist available on the district website, including information about current Washington Department of Health requirements regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Free Breakfast/Lunch for the 21-22 School Year
Make sure you still sign up for Free/Reduced Meal Benefits
The USDA school lunch program has been extended through the 2021-22 school year, meaning all students can receive FREE meals at school through June of next year. Battle Ground schools will offer a limited variety of hot lunch options at school. Sack lunches will only be available when necessary.
NOTE: While all students will qualify for free meals during this school year, parents should still apply for the Free/Reduced meal benefit. Families who qualify for free or reduced price meals may be eligible for other benefits, such as decreased fees to participate in other school programs.

Health and Safety Protocols:
- Health screenings and temperature checks are not required at this time, but please keep your child home if they are running a fever or experiencing other symptoms of illness. See our Health and Attendance brochure and the COVID-19 Student Symptom Flow Chart for more information.
- Masks will be required for anyone who enters Battle Ground High School. Entering BGHS means that you agree to wear a mask properly over your nose and mouth and to make sure the mask is school appropriate.
Students will come to school wearing one mask. We also recommend that they carry a spare mask in their backpack.
If a student needs a mask during the school day, they should report to the security in the rotunda. Each classroom has been given a limited number of masks.
