Best Time-Saving Shortcut or Life Hack
I have two:
1. Using my Google Calendar
I slot in things like project work time and due dates. This ensures that I can be accurate when telling people if I will be able to get something done in time. I also started adding drive time to my calendar to keep me from overbooking.
2. Camtasia (any screencasting software)
I make videos...alot. Teachers often cannot do a Google Hangout at just any time and complicated email explanations are overwhelming. Quick screencasts allow me to build relationships of trust after my PDs. I get questions and send a quick video and they are able to follow along pausing to complete the steps. It takes 10 minutes to make a quick video. Most of the time I would spend that same amount of time trying to type an email.
