7 Mindsets
The MCCSS has adopted the 7 Mindsets as its social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum this year. The 7 Mindsets are a comprehensive blueprint for meaning, happiness, and success. It is written in a language that is easy to understand and, most importantly, ready to be applied to one's life. Each month is dedicated to one of the Mindsets, and our Ila Gators will receive a weekly Mindset lesson on Friday in preparation for the upcoming week. As parents, you can help instill a 7 Mindsets culture in your home. These will change the dynamic of daily life by invigorating children to tap into their unlimited potential.
Our Mindset for September is Everything is Possible, which provides an understanding that we are all capable of extraordinary lives. We learn that everything is just an idea until someone believes it is possible and turns it into a reality. Embracing this fact allows one to envision a wonderful life, expect greatness, and effectively execute the process of making dreams come true.
Digital Learning
Our Ila Gators have been provided with their loaner computer device and are now bringing it home each night for recharging. They will have digital instructional assignments from time to time and are also encouraged to use the engaging software programs we provide for school and home usage (i.e., MobyMax, IXL, etc.). Please make sure your child recharges his/her device each night and returns it to school each day.
