When:
- Wednesday, February 23rd at 6:30 p.m.
- Rehearsal will be Monday, February 21st
- In-school performances will be: 2/23 for the first half, and 2/24 for the second half -- time is TBD.
In a couple of weeks, Ms. Oftedahl will be sending out a form for signing up for an act. We just wanted to get this out as a reminder to start thinking about what sort of performance to do.
Please remember the following rules:
- All acts will be limited to 2 minutes or less.
- Students are allowed to participate for one act only, with the exception of class room acts.
- All acts/songs need to be age appropriate!!
If your child needs help with a song, or is having a difficult time deciding what to do, please encourage him/her to go and see Ms. Oftedahl before or after school.

RECESS
Please be sure your child comes to school each day prepared for the weather. Winter coats, hats, and gloves are very important for keeping kids comfortable during recess. As soon as there is snow on the ground, students who choose to play on the snow hills, woodchips, or in the field will be required to have snow pants and boots. Those students without boots and snow pants will be limited to playing on the blacktop only. Recess will be outdoors unless the temperature and/or wind chill drops below 0°.
Also, an extra shirt, pair of sweatpants/leggings, and pair of dry socks are very helpful in case of run-ins with melting snow at recess or milk spills at lunch. We have a very limited supply of items to loan, and when we run out, we will need to phone a parent to get dry clothing.
Another new date! SAVE THE DATE! Lincoln Carnival
At this time, we are postponing the Lincoln Carnival until Friday, April 1st. The Lincoln Carnival can only be successful with the help of lots of volunteers. With the current climate, we did not think it right to ask for help from volunteers. We are hoping by waiting a couple more months it will be more helpful.

NEW DATE: Friday, April 1, 2022
5:30pm - 8pm
Come join the fun! We will have games to play (with the purchase of a wristband), concessions, baked goods, prizes.
Money raised at this event for PALS, Inc. helps pay for many of PALS initiatives - playground equipment, books, holiday program supplies, are just a few.
We will need volunteers for obtaining and organizing prizes, obtaining and organizing concessions, set-up and take-down of the event, and a lot of help during the event.
Stay tuned for more information, and feel free to contact the co-chairs with any questions.

Snow Day Plans for LES
On the first snow day, we will not be facilitating classes. It will be a traditional "No School" snow day. Any snow day after the first one, we will be having a virtual school day. Your child's teacher will be sending out a schedule for these days. We have planned for a common start time, break time, and lunch to make this easier for you at home. In addition, your child will have one special class each day. The special he/she will have is dependent on the day of the week the snow day happens. Your child must participate during the virtual day to have his/her attendance counted as present.
