Principal's Message
Happy November!
Hoping you had the opportunity to enjoy some unseasonable warm weather over the weekend. I had the joy of watching one of my daughter's last high school cross-country meets with runners from all over the state.
As a reminder, though I've put this in several newsletters:
- No stuffed animals are allowed at Potter (unless it's a special circumstance-for example, pajama day)
- No TOYS at Potter Road (These include fidgets, trading cards, small cars, laser pointers, and more)
REMINDER:
No School on Tuesday, November 8th or Friday, November 11th.
Also, Thursday, November 10th in an early release day-Dismissal at 12:55. Please be at the bus stop for your children.
In this issue:
- PTO Updates
- Safety and Security Night Follow Up
- Health and Immigration Fair
- World Cup Soccer cards and all toys updates
- How to get Potter Road Spirit Wear (updated link/website)
As always, feel free to reach out via email with any questions.
Thanks
Larry & Shannon

Follow up on Safety and Securtiy Night
As a follow up to our Safety and Security Night at PTO a few weeks back, Director of Safety and Security, Scott Penrod shared the presentation he gave. In addition, he shared information on responding to an active shooter from the Department of Homeland Security. Both are below.
As I stressed at the evening-when we think of safety in schools, we often think of the worse case scenario from "outside the building." However, it's important to note that there are times when we have to evacuate classrooms if a student becomes dysregulated or is displaying "unexpected" behavior. Please know we do this as a precaution to preserve the dignity of the child having a challenging time and to ensure the safety of all students. You will be notified if this occurs.

November FHS DANCE CLINIC
Please see the following from the Framingham High School Dance Team Coach. They have a big event Sunday, November 20th and they'd love new participants!
World Cup Trading Cards & more
As a reminder, no toys or trading cards are allowed at Potter Road.
I appreciate your help with this.
