A Message from the Principal
In light of what has been in the media over the past 24 hours regarding a photographer that has been working in schools, we can confirm that our school has used this company this year. We apologise to our community for this and we are looking to book a new photographer in 2023 and have taken steps to ensure that our files cannot be accessed now and into the future (by the photographer). The photographer is not taking part in the processing of our photos (and is no longer part of the photography business).
At all times our students were safe and supervised while the photographer was on site with multiple adults present. We will work closely with the new photography company in 2023 around safety checking and police vetting any of their employees that come on site to take the photos.

Another busy week in Room 5. We have started buddy reading with others in the class and the children enjoy hearing other stories from their friends. It’s a great way to build up reading mileage and practice reading skills. We have been talking about Queen Elizabeth in the class a little bit about her long life and long reign. We enjoyed hearing some music earlier in the week and had fun dancing and singing along. A couple of weeks ago we had a taste of cricket.
In Room 6 we are well into our Maker Space (Technology) creating for the year. We plan, or copy from a planner, make, reflect and then make changes or create something new. We are all at different stages, as we are for all our learning. You can ask your children whether they are a newbie, beginner, trainee, pro or guru for Maker Space. We hope you are enjoying our creations each week.
This week’s creations are: Mason Calvert’s dog box, Harper Morris’s castle, Flynn Jamieson’s farm, Rylee-rae Manahi-McColl’s giraffe (Rylee’s guru for using the hot glue gun was Taree Drake), Madeline Thomas’s treasure chest and Jean-Luc Joubert’s jet pack (Happy birthday Jean-Luc!).
