BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING - THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 2023
The next Board of Education Meeting will be tonight, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Board meetings will continue to be streamed live and can be accessed on the website prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org.
We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.
At this meeting, our new board members will be sworn in.

CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL COUGAR COUNCIL COLLECTING CLEAN NEWSPAPER
The Cambridge School Cougar Council is collecting CLEAN NEWSPAPER as a service project to benefit Second Chance For Animals Animal Shelter in Franklin. Donations will be accepted until Friday,February 3 and can be dropped off during school hours to Cambridge School, Attention: Cougar Council. SOUTH BRUNSWICK PARKS AND RECREATION - GRADES K-6
South Brunswick Parks & Recreation announce the following after school and evening programs at the South Brunswick Community Center, Woodlot Park, starting early January 2023. Registration is now open. Space is limited!
- KidzArt will be holding a unique drawing program on Wednesdays starting January 11 from 5:00pm - 6:00pm. Please click here for more information.

- Bricks4Kidz will introduce children to engineering, architecture, robotics and more. All while having fun with Lego bricks. The program starts Wednesday, February 1 from 6:00 – 7:30pm. Please click here for more information.

HS GLOBAL STUDIES CLASS FEATURED ON NBC NEWS NOW AS THE STATE BECAME THE FIRST TO ENACT A LAW THAT WILL STANDARDIZE MEDIA LITERACY LESSONS FOR STUDENTS
Yesterday, January 4th, New Jersey became the first to sign a bill enacting a law that will standardize media literacy lessons for students. We are very excited to share that in December NBC News Now visited the South Brunswick High School Library to record a segment regarding this new law.
