Lee Westwood Golf School

The first winner of golfer of the week is William Noblett who was the nett winner of the 4 round challenge. William played extremely well during all rounds & it certainly bodes well for the future. Well done William!

Also congratulations to Callum Pipe for winning the gross event.

Plans are progressing nicely for our trip to the Dunhill Links championship from 1st - 4th October. Parents of those students attending will receive an email with full details in the next few days. If we have any parents who wish to help out on the trip, please contact Jenny for more information.

Below are the final results from the 4 round challenge. The tournament is repeated again during the final week of term in June as a direct comparison as to how much the students have progressed over the year.

We will be playing the first round of this tournament at Stoke by Nayland on 21st October. A team of 6 will be selected & announced nearer the time

Education Update

The year two group will not be wasting any time and will need to hit the ground running this year. All students now have a strong understanding as to what is expected and we will be looking to develop further this year. As a group the grades from last year were within the top 5% in the country so the bar has certainly been set high.

The year one group began their qualification on Friday and although there is a slightly longer induction process, they will need to be prepared for the intensity to increase fairly rapidly. We will be beginning with Anatomy and Physiology so the year one group will need to be organised and focused in their lessons in order to pick up all the information required.
