Why Work for Bryan County Schools
#ONEBRYAN Benefits
Competitive salaries and benefits
Annually, salaries and compensation for different positions within the organization are reviewed to ensure we are competitive. Currently, our teacher salaries are 9% higher than the State salary scale.
Our benefits package is comprehensive and offers employees health, dental, and life insurance, in addition to the 403(b) match.
Our year-long employees (such as custodians and maintenance) have a 240 day work calendar and enjoy several long holidays over the course of each year, to include two full weeks in December, and almost a full week in November and April.
Tax-sheltered Annuities to Plan for Your Future: 403(b) & 457
403(b) and 457 tax-sheltered annuities are IRS regulated retirement plans offered by public
schools and certain tax exempt organizations. These plans allow employees to invest up to $20,500 of their annual gross salary each calendar year to one of our approved 403(b) and/or 457 vendors.
Employer Matched 403(b)
Bryan County Schools partners with several leading investment groups to offer you an opportunity to maximize your earnings. BCS will match up to 4% of your contribution in a participating 403(b). This is an exceptional benefit that very literally pays dividends!
District-wide Professional Learning Days
Employer Supported Daycare
Our BEE (Bryan Early Education) Daycare is quite possibly one of the greatest benefits for new parents and parents of young children. BEE provides childcare (newborn - age 3). Designed to operate at cost, parents are offered the lowest rates possible. BEE Daycare is located conveniently in an elementary school in both north Bryan and south Bryan.

Bryan County Schools provides a shuttle to transport children to/from parents' worksites to their respective schools. There are both morning and afternoon shuttles that run to/from every school, free of charge.

New and updated facilities and resources
Bryan County is the fastest growing county in the state of Georgia and the 6th fastest growing county in the nation. Our district maintains a 5 and 10-year capital growth plan to promote proactive planning. Funds collected through the state, ESPLOST, the sale of bonds and/or local dollars allow Bryan County Schools to maintain current facilities and address growth. Our Board of Education’s support of capital outlay projects is a true testament to district and community that values the correlation between facilities, performance, and the overall well-being of our students and staff.
