Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy
Opening August 2020
Academies Announcement
Students at the Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy will have the opportunity to select one academy to enroll in, much like a college major. Each of these smaller learning communities will be centered around a specific theme or career interest. Of course, students will have room in their schedule to pursue additional electives as well.
Based on stakeholder input, including an extensive student survey process, we are excited to announce that we will open with the academies below.
Frequently Asked Question
Will students be able to participate in marching band?
Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy will not have a marching band since we will not have a football team. We do anticipate offering a WGI program, which is "The Sport of the Arts." WGI has programs in color guard, percussions, and winds, with various competitions throughout the country and world. More information is available at http://www.wgi.org.
