Hello Glennwood Families!
We have had a wonderful week at Glennwood. I hope you are making plans to attend our Spring Fling tonight from 5:00-7:00 pm which is sponsored by PTA. We will have a food truck, a pop event book sale with Brave and Kind bookstore, music by Flock of Eagles and more.
I will also be leading a brief school tour from 6:30-6:45 pm tonight for any interested families. You can take a quick peek at your child’s classroom. It occurred to me recently that many families haven’t had an opportunity to see the building. No need to sign up for the tour- just meet us on the steps near the carpool circle at 6:30pm. Please come join the fun this evening at the Spring Fling!
We will also host a school tour on Tuesday, March 29th from 3:15pm-3:30pm for our current families. There is no need to sign up- just meet us at the front of the school outside on the steps of the main office.
Finally, at our current level parents and visitors are welcomed back into the building for various activities and events! We are working on what this looks like for Glennwood but we will start with our school tours and our K-Day for rising Kindergarten students.
Have a great weekend, Glennwood!
Dr. Holly Brookins

Walk and Roll to School is April 1st!
Walk & Roll and Community Circle are back together again!! Please join us on your feet, your bike or your scooter (don’t forget those helmets!) for Walk & Roll, and then stay for our first in person Community Circle in TWO YEARS!! Students who walk, bike or scoot will continue to enter at their grade specific doors, where they will be counted, using our traditional marbles, by their staff door monitors. After dropping their kiddos, parents can make their way to the blacktop to await the start of Community Circle. Each marble will still count towards students earning extra school wide recess, with announcements made immediately following at Community Circle! For additional details and a full Walk & Roll schedule for the year, please visit the Glennwood website: https://www.csdecatur.net/Domain/530
*Walking School Buses are on hold (due to Covid) until further notice*
Contact Amanda McMillan (almcmil@gmail.com) with any questions!
