What is the chromosome that carries the gene called?

One of the factors of the chromosome is Apolipoprotein E or (APOE). Researchers have not found a specific chromosome that causes the gene. APOE comes in many different forms. There is just plain APOE, APOE 2, APOE 3, and APOE 4. The gene APOE can be found on chromosome 19.

Symptoms of the disease Alzheimer's.

The main symptom of the disease is memory loss. The memory loss might affect your daily life. That might include planning or solving problems, being unable to complete tasks at home or at work, confusion with time or place, might be hard to process the road while driving, reading, or just images itself. It also could affect your ability to talk. Your words might come out a different way you want it too. Misplacing things and not being able to retrace your steps, poor judgement, wanting to quit or retire from a job, and a changing personality all are symptoms of the disease Alzheimer's.

  • Follow a prescription when they are given one.

How is Alzheimer's passed on?

Alzheimer's disease are passed on by forms of autosomal dominant inheritance which is usually noticed before the age 65. Alzheimer's disease is not sex linked.

Scientists are currently searching three ways to early diagnosis. These include, measurements of bio markers in cerebrospinal fluid, brain imaging, and standardizing clinical tests of memory and thinking abilities to determine cognitive health.

Is there any treatment for Alzheimer's?

Right now, there is currently no treatment for Alzheimer's. But there may be some drug and non-drug treatments that might help with the behavior of the person. Researches are now looking for a cure that can improve the life of the person who was diagnosed with it.
