S. R. Butler High School
Ninth Grade Academy
The 9th Grade Summer Transition Program is designed to prepare students to be successful learners in high school. While providing students with the skills they need to be successful, we wish to create life-long, self-directed learners. In order to achieve this, we will use research-based instruction, engaging instructional materials, and authentic encounters with reading and writing.

S. R. Butler’s High School is pleased to announce the success of our Ninth Grade Academy 2013 summer transition program for our upcoming 9th graders.
The purpose of this program is to help students transition to high school with more confidence and support which would help students more quickly become acclimated to the high school environment.
Topics for the 2013 9th Grade Summer Transition program are: What to do the first day of school, how to read the class schedule, how zeros affect grades, ways to get involved in high school etc. We are excited about the possibility of helping our 9th graders start their new high school experience on a very positive note.
