I Survived Valentine's Day Edition...
Fun Run!!!!
Teachers!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR EXCITEMENT! Really, thank you for the positivity regarding this fun run fundraiser. I really hope this will be a great way for our school to earn the money we could use for PE and TECHNOLOGY! I would love to earn enough to have technology available for our classrooms on a regular basis.
Here are some clarifications on questions from our Teacher Meeting/s:
HOW FLAT PLEDGES EQUAL LAP PLEDGES & PRIZES
Funrun.com takes care of all calculations regarding the Pledge O Meter totals— If a student gets a pledge for $30 in flat donation, it will add $1 per lap to the class’ Pledge O Meter total online. It works similarly for prizes.
Students receive prizes for the accumulation of both flat donations and per lap pledges! For example, if a student gets a number of pledges/flat donations that add up to $30, they will receive the 10 MindSpark Gears prize. If you’re looking for a breakdown, you can multiply all of the prize reward levels by 30 and you’ll have that answer! :) And yes, the prizes are rewarded for cumulative pledges. Funrun.com takes care of tracking all of that information when sponsors pledge for the students, and will reflect accordingly each morning when you print the prize reports!
ENTERING LAPS (SORRY APRIL LOOKS LIKE YOU AKA MY VOLUNTEER TEAM-- LOL)
Your volunteer team will be entering in laps on the Fun Run day! There is a Lap Counter PDF to print the morning of the run, which is a page for each homeroom teacher that includes a list of all students who have registered on funrun.com. Although all students will be participating, we only need laps recorded for students who have gotten pledges. Also, all pledging switches to flat donations only on the fun run day, so you won’t have to retroactively go back and gather laps! You’ll have more instructions on your Digital Easy List later in the program, but I’ve included a guide to entering laps here for now!
COLLECTION OF PLEDGES
As for collections, all of that will be done online with the Run & Done feature! When sponsors enter in a pledge, they will need to enter in their credit card information to complete the process. All flat donations will be charged pretty immediately, like a normal transaction. Any per lap pledges will then be “scheduled payments,” which will be triggered to process after the laps are entered on fun run day!
APP AVAILABLE?
At this time, we don’t have an app up and running. However, funrun.com and Teacher Dashboards (on funrun.com) are accessible through the internet on a phone! Teachers will be able to access their dashboard and class stats at any time via phone or computer. :)
CASH/CHECK PAYMENTS
If you happen to have a handful of cash/checks come in, we do have a process for entering those in as pledges and payments! That’s something you or Dr. Youngberg will manage from your Admin Dashboards. Attached is a PDF guide that walks you through how to manually enter in pledges/payments. There will be 50 collection envelopes in your inventory for those particular students! And you will deposit all cash/check payments that come in to your bank account after entering the information on funrun.com!
