A Message From Mr. Garrett
I want to reach out to all Mustang families and wish everyone well! The good news is sunshine and warmer weather is on the way this week. As a family, I hope you are able to get outside and, even if for a few minutes, get some fresh air and focus on enjoying the day.
I shared in my video last week the power of being positive. It is always easy to say when things are going well for you, but I understand it's much more difficult when you are the one dealing with life and stress. My family is walking in the same shoes as many of you with a junior in college back at home instead of with his friends as well as family members' jobs being cut or lost.
I share with staff on a consistent basis that many times we do not know what battles others are facing and going through. As we all battle through the struggles we are facing, I want to encourage you:
1) You and your family are on my mind. I am concerned with all of our students and families. I'm here to support you to the best of my ability and as always I'm so humbled to represent the Gardner Edgerton School District and be a Mustang!
2) When the tough times come, reach out to others with a positive word or note or even a phone call. It not only makes you feel good about doing something for someone else, you just may help someone else make it through their day!
Please see the information in THE STAMPEDE below for helpful resources for students and families.
Just a couple of reminders:
* The district's roll out of week 2 student Continuous Learning will be shared to families on Monday.
* For questions as we navigate through our new normal, continue to check the districts COVID-19 page for the most up to date information from the district.
Sincerely,
Carl Garret

USD 231 Continuous Learning Plan
The purpose of USD 231's Continuous Learning Plan (CLP) is to ensure students have opportunities to learn through experiences that focus on key concepts, knowledge, and skills. These opportunities emphasize interaction and creativity and involve a balance of on-screen and off-screen tasks that help connect to concepts previously taught, the current curriculum, and new learning. Teacher interaction with students is a critical component to ensure new learning.
Click HERE to learn more about the plan, interact with teachers, and access instructional resources - all designed to ensure learning continues, despite the closure of school buildings.
