Hybrid learning plans for middle and high schools presentedPlanning for a transition to hybrid learning is underway for students in middle and high school. The timing of the transition is dependent on COVID-19 case rates in Clark County. The state's guidelines recommend positive cases be below 350 per 100,000 for middle schools to start hybrid learning. High school students would begin hybrid schedules when cases drop below 200 per 100,000. The draft plan was shared with the VPS board of directors at the Jan. 26 meeting. More information will be provided to parents by middle and high schools. A survey will be sent on Feb. 2 for parents of students in grades 6-8. The survey will close Feb. 7. | High school athletics to resume Feb. 1 High school athletics will begin Feb. 1 as allowed by WIAA in Phase I of Washington State Department of Health guidelines. Sports considered low risk are the first to be cleared for practice and competition. These include boys golf, boys tennis and boys and girls cross country.
