"An Abundance of Caution"

After beginning our year with a crippling network disruption, no one would have ever imagined that our school district would be subject to a much larger and infinitely serous disruption... and on such a large scale. Yet here we are using universal precautions, trying not to touch our faces, washing our hands, and practicing a new concept - social distancing. So as our children are home, we thank you for normalizing lives and maintaining skills, for reading with your child and exercising together daily, for linking natural curiosity with revelation and understanding. If there's anything I understand about the Salford Hills community it is that we're partners and we support each other. Never before has such an admonition been tested as now, an experience that defies time and space. But never before has our resolve been stronger. We're up to the challenge, and we'll accomplish the task together.

Until we can come together again as a Salford HIlls family, reuniting face to face, we wish you and your family an abundance of caution and good health. It's been only three days, but we long for the time when we 're together again.

Be well,

Dave Purnell, Ed.D.

Principal, Salford Hills

At Home Learning Activities

During the closure, the district prepared daily activities for parents to use with children. Activities, which are optional, provide a gentle mix that offers to maintain and extend current skills. At this time, there is not intention to introduce new skills. The links below offer a video about At Home Learning in addition to the web pages themselves. If you do not have access to a printer, there are printed copies on the bench on the front Salford HIlls platform just before the front doors.
