  1. Born in Greece, Aristotle lived from 384 BC to 322 BC.

  2. As well as science, Aristotle wrote on many other subjects including poetry, music, theater, logic, metaphysics, rhetoric, ethics and politics.

  3. The majority of Aristotle’s original work has been lost through the passage of time but around one third of it still remains to this day.

  4. He belonged to a noble family and his father was a doctor - the personal physician to King Amyntas of Macedon.
