The Cheetah Chat

Ms. In's Inside Scoop

October 20, 2017

Dear Creek View families,

It was so great to see everyone tonight at Screen on the Green! I loved seeing all the students in their fun costumes and having a good time with their friends! A huge thank you to our PTA for organizing this big event for us. It was a beautiful evening for us to gather and watch "SING" outside on the big screen!

Go Cheetahs!

Next week is Red Ribbon Week! Students will participate in activities throughout the week to take a stand against drugs and to say yes to living a healthy, drug-free life! The theme for each day of the week is as follows:

Monday - "Red Out" - wear all red

Tuesday - "Don't get wrangled in drugs" - dress in Western wear

Wednesday - "Follow your dreams, don't do drugs" - wear your pajamas

Thursday - "Team-up against drugs" - wear your favorite team jersey/shirt

Friday - "Put a cap on drugs" - wear your favorite hat/cap

Cheetah Spotlight

In honor of National Bus Safety Week, I would like to shine this week's Cheetah Spotlight on our fabulous bus drivers. Our bus drivers have the important job of transporting our children safely to and from school every day. To help celebrate them and show our appreciation, our PTA hosted a delicious lunch for all of our drivers today.

Everyone loves Brownies!

I had a very special visit from Brownie Troop #15303 last week. We had the opportunity to sit together, and the troop interviewed me with some great questions. And I got a plate full of delicious brownies! Thank you Brownie Troop #15303!

FCS Make-up Day - February 16, 2018

FCS has officially announced that February 16, 2018 will be a make-up day for students and staff members to make up for the days that were missed due to the inclement weather we experienced as a result of Hurricane Irma.

Coats, Scarves, Gloves, Oh My!

Creek View will be collecting new or gently used coats, jackets, scarves, hats, and gloves/mittens to donate to North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC). As the cold weather approaches, we want to do what we can to help ensure all members of our community have the proper attire to stay warm during the winter. Items may be dropped off in the collection bin located in front of the cafeteria until October 31. Let's help our community, Cheetahs!!!

The big thank you!

The Cheetahs are participating in the Bert Show's Big Thank You. Students and staff members are voluntarily writing letters expressing their gratitude to the men and women who serve in the military to help protect our country. Due to their service, many men and women who serve in the military are stationed away from their home and families during the holidays. The letters are delivered to our service men and women to help show gratitude for their service to our country. If you would like to participate with your child, please have the letters turned in to your child's teacher or the front office by October 23.

Thank you!

Morning drop-off begins at 7:10 and ends at 7:40

Please remember if you are dropping off your child in the mornings through the carpool line, the earliest your child may be dropped off is 7:10 am and carpool ends promptly at 7:40 as students must be marked tardy if they are not in the building by that time. Please remember to account for the time that it will take to go through the carpool line once you arrive on campus. The busiest time for carpool is between 7:30 -7:40 so please plan your travel time accordingly to avoid your child being marked tardy. Once the 7:40 bell rings, we must stop the carpool line, and parents must park their car and walk their child in as school has officially begun. Thank you for helping us ensure that all students are in their classrooms on time!

A big thank you to our PTA for providing our staff members with a special treat this week. Just one of the many things they do for our school. We are so fortunate to have such a caring and generous PTA!!!

Calling All Volunteers!

Creek View could not be successful without the help of our wonderful volunteers. It truly takes a village, and what an amazing village we have! If you would like to volunteer at Creek View this year, please make sure you complete the FCS volunteer registration process to become a registered volunteer. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and 24-48 hours to process by the district. You must be a registered volunteer before you will be able to come in to help with a class event/activity or any school event. UPDATE: If you completed the process last year, you do not have to complete it again this year. Please access the following link to complete the registration process:

Cafe News

On November 1, we will begin providing Grab & Go breakfast for our students. We are excited to provide Grab & Go breakfast as it will allow students to take their breakfast so they will be able to get to their classrooms sooner and have extra time to prepare for the start of their day.
