CES ELearning May 18th-22nd
Mrs. Proskey & Mrs. James
From the Principal's Desk...
Well can you believe it? We are already coming to the close of another wonderful yet very different school year. What a year it has been?! I want to THANK YOU, the community, for all of your continuous support throughout the year. All of our teachers, parents and volunteers have worked so hard to move our students forward and make sure this was a successful and exciting year filled with Culver Pride. I am a proud administrator, parent and community member!!! We need to keep our efforts going in order to promote our wonderful teachers, programming, students and schools!!
I also want to give a big shout out to the parents and volunteers who help make our incentive programming come to fruition. We value you and appreciate that you give up your valuable time throughout the day to help with BoxTop and PTO parties, R.E.A.D. parties, Book Fairs, and assisting in the classroom. Without your generous monetary donations, and physical help, these events would not be possible!! These events will forever leave an impression on the students. They will remember the fun they had at Culver Elementary and the difference you made in their lives! :)
All of your child's school work is due on Friday May 22nd. If by some chance you are unable to complete this work, we will be accepting work through May 28th as that is the end of the grading period. It has been decided that the grading scale will be modified for the fourth quarter as it was not a traditional instructional experience for your child. This modified scale will weight 3rd quarter heavier to help set your child up for success, especially if the past 8 weeks of Elearning was exceptionally difficult for them.
Parents, if you borrowed an Ipad/charger from the school, please return it by May 29th. Also if your child has textbooks and or library books that they brought home from school, please return those, as next year's students will need to use them. If those items are not returned to school, you will be expected to replace them. Thank you so much for your understanding.
We wish you all a wonderful and safe summer ahead!! Enjoy this much needed time to relax and simply have fun with your family and take time to enjoy a good book, by yourself or with your child. :)
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me at eproskey@culver.k12.in.us or call me at 574-842-3389.

IDOE Continuous Learning Challenges
Continuous Learning Weekly Challenges- Weeks #6 an #7
The Continuous Learning Challenges are weekly choice boards specifically designed without technology in mind. The skill sets of the Continuous Learning Challenge are connected to Michael Fullan’s Deep Learning Competencies. These are great activities to ask your child to try on their own or with a little help. Your challenge is to complete at least two activities from each row for the week. An extra challenge is to create your own activities that would apply to each Continuous Learning Skill and complete them. Please share any examples of the completed challenges to social media tagging @EducateIN(link is external).
Left Over Locker Items to be Picked Up
We have tagged and bagged all of the students items that have been left in their lockers- notebooks, folders, personal items, etc. Next week the following schedule has been put together for parents to come in and pick up their child's items, between 9:00-2:00. All of the items will be left in the Elementary Foyer for pick up.

Four County Counseling
As your school mental health partner, Four County would like to ensure that parents and families are aware that we are still available for any needs or assistance during this time. Would your child benefit from a virtual check in with a mental health provider to discuss home or academic support, conflict resolution strategies, calming strategies, or their feelings? Four County continues to take referrals and is here to help support your student in their academic success. Please inform your school corporation staff, visit our website at fourcounty.org or contact our access number 1-800-552-3106 to schedule an intake.
