Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we seemed to have fit a lot of activity into a short week. School has felt busy and purposeful, a real hive of activity. Preparations are underway for our Jubilee celebrations and children are ready and prepared for upcoming assessments.
It has been great to be able to get out on the field for playtimes and PE this week and the children have really made the most of the extra space and fresh air. The weather has still been a bit chilly though so please look and plan ahead for either a coat or sun cream accordingly!
Planning ahead, we now have some dates in the diary for the summer term. Sports Day will be on Thursday 23rd June (weather permitting) and due to continuing rising numbers of pupils we have had no option but to split the children so EYFS and KS1 will be in the morning starting at 9:30am and KS2 in the afternoon starting at 1:30pm. It will be fantastic to welcome parents into school for these events that we have been unable to hold for so long!
Please see the diary dates further down today's newsletter for other events.
Have a lovely weekend

Times Tables Rock Stars
This week saw the start of our Summer 1 TTRockstars and Numbots league. This time, we're splitting the children into KS1 and KS2, with the prize of an extra playtime for the winner of both leagues. Although we did see a drop in the number of children going on, there were a few children who continued to practise over the week and help their teams out. These were: Luke in Tigers, Oliver G in Sharks, Jacob in Earthworms, Niamh in Jaguars. Earthworms currently top the league table, with Sharks in second place.
Numbots
Well done to everyone in FS and KS1, I have been very impressed with how many children have been using Numbots or TTR. Special congratulations go to Tigers who have won week one of our Lower School League. Bees were close behind and have worked incredibly hard so it's all to play for next week!
The following children have worked particularly hard on Numbots this week; Harry S, Tom O, Thea T and Hamish T. We were also able to award last week's certificates to Austin B, Mila L and Bea O. Well done everyone!
Usbourne Book Fair
There will be an Usbourne book fair at school on Wednesday 6th July, 3pm-4:00pm. This is the perfect opportunity to raise funds for more books for our school and a chance to get your children some holiday reading material.
