Colerain Announcements
- World Down Syndrome Day - Monday, March 21st - wear "silly socks" to school in support/celebrate

- AT&T & Verizon Internet Hot Spots - Please return to school by the end of March. They are being turned off. If you need another one, a T-Mobile Hot Spot will be provided.
- FEED-A-FRIEND - Wednesday, March 30th - please plan ahead for feed-a-friend. Donations are very appreciated and can be dropped off at Room 17th up until the morning of the 30th.
Coffee with Dr. Dixon (CCS Superintendent)
Wednesday, March 23, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Upper Cup Coffee Co. (79 Parsons Ave.)
Please join Dr. Dixon for the first Coffee and Conversation This is a great opportunity to engage and have important discussions about our students’ education. I look forward to hearing from our families and community members, so bring your questions, concerns, and ideas and we’ll talk about all things CCS over a cup o’ joe.
The series will occur on the fourth Wednesday of each month and will be held in different locations throughout the City.

Registration is open in the Parent Portal.
- Login to Parent Portal
- Select the "hamburger" (three horizontal lines) at the top/left of page
- Select "more"
- Scroll down to "Quick Links" and select "summer school"
- Select "next" to confirm info
- Select blue "New Summer School Application" button next to students name to complete application
***Colerain is NOT an option this year because of HVAC work going on this summer. Alpine Elementary, Indianola Informal, and AIMS are good options****

Dominion Middle School
If your student will be a 6th grader next year at Dominion MS, please complete this form to ensure your student gets the "electives" (art, band, drama, etc) that they want.
If your student is going to another middle school and you have not received this form/info, please let me know and I can put you in touch with the right folks.
CCS Virtual Family Engagement Sessions
HBCU Goals
Tuesday, March 22 - 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Columbus City Schools has a rich legacy of encouraging students to learn about, visit, and enroll in HBCUs. Our Tuesday Virtual Family Engagement Session will unveil the new CCS HBCU GOALS initiative to boost HBCU exposure and enrollment. Learn about the common application used by many HBCUs and how students will have an opportunity to hear from current HBCU students from Columbus.

Summer Opportunity and Engagement #4
Thursday, March 24 - 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Older students have a unique opportunity this summer to learn valuable skills and earn some extra money. Every Thursday evening in March, our Family Engagement team will spotlight different community partners and organizations across our city who offer special summer-time opportunities for CCS students. This Thursday’s Virtual Family Engagement Session will focus on summer internship and work opportunities for our high school students.
