Can't Hide Our Wildcat Pride!
It is hard to believe that it is already Spring Break. We hope that you get a chance to enjoy a bit of time to rest, recharge, and enjoy your family. We are so proud of the accomplishments our students have made this year while dealing with the adversity caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are excited that we were able to provide the opportunity for our students to compete in the state technology competition and the Carroll County academic competition.
As we return from Spring Break we are looking forward to the last stretch of the school year. May will be here before you know it and we will be having a variety of end of the year activities. Please look for communication from your child’s teacher as we get closer to that time.
Lastly, I want to continue to thank our teachers, students, and parents for the combined efforts that have allowed us to continue learning in person at Glanton-Hindsman. We are truly a community based school and could not do this without a collective effort. I am honored to be serving this community as we work together through this time.
We are accepting donations for Coweta County disaster relief. Please join us in our efforts to serve a neighboring community in need. Items can be dropped off at GHES April 12th-16th during regular school hours. #24strong #WeAreVR
Tons of Wildcats earned Positive Office Referrals during the month of March. We are always excited to recognize students for making good choices. Way to go Wildcats!
A HUGE shout-out to Mrs. Gordon and our Technology Club! Our competition team members competed in the K12 InVenture Prize State Finals. The Georgia Tech K12 InVenture Prize challenges students to identify real-world problems and design novel solutions through careful analysis, creativity, and the scientific method. We are so proud of all their hard work. They did a great job preparing and presenting their inventions.
Our Academic Team wrapped up their competition season on the 30th. They practiced and competed hard all year and we are so proud of their efforts. A big thanks to coaches, Katie Cole and Tanika Thompson for all their hard work this season!
Congratulations to our students who were recognized in the month of March. We celebrated students with 90% positive Dojo behavior, students who displayed our character word of the month, and those who earned the Principal's Award! Way to go Wildcats! We also kept track of the total number of words our students read in the month of March and rewarded the top class in each grade level with ice cream. Students can contribute to their class word count by reading and passing AR quizzes.
Parents, please take a moment to complete our parent survey for the 2020-2021 school year.
