GO COYOTES !!!!!
MEET MR. STEEL
Lazy, tired, and uninterested pretty much sums up Matthew Steele’s high school career; but his work ethic in high school never changed his love for history.
Shockingly to his high school teachers, Steele went to college and wanted to be some sort of history teacher. He studied banking and finance and eventually that pushed him on the path of Economics. Steele is a new teacher here at Combs but has been in education for five years and has always liked teaching senior classes.

COUNSELORS CORNER
The Counseling Department is working on several projects and activities that benefit the students of CHS and the community around us. The ACT is being offered to Juniors who signed up, on Wednesday, February 20. If your student is taking advantage of this opportunity, please make sure they are on time, well rested, well fed, and that they have reviewed the booklet provided them.
EVIT registration continues and representatives from EVIT will be on campus on Thursday, February 21, to collect applications and meet with students. If your student has chosen EVIT as their elective for next year and HAS NOT turned an application, they need to do so as soon as possible. Also on February 21, a community presentation on depression and anxiety will be offered at the CHS Library from 6-8pm. The information presented is not only timely but relevant and we hope to see you there!
Looking ahead the SAT will be administered on campus Saturday, March 9, and Saturday, May 4. If you are interested in testing on those days go to www.collegeboard.org to sign up and pay your fee. Also coming soon is the College and Career Fair, March 19, and the ASVAB test for Seniors on March 26. If you have questions about any of these activities, please contact your counselor.
