7th and 8th Grade News

Week of 11/30-12/4

Things You Should Know!

Welcome back everyone from Thanksgiving Break! I Hope you all had a great holiday with lots of food, sports, and family! It's important for us all to always remember to be grateful for the things we have, and more importantly, the people we have in our lives. We are so blessed and I'm happy the students received a break to take some time to remember that.

Conferences -- Tutoring/Extra Practice

Special thanks to all of the parents and guardians that were able to give 15 minutes to hear about their students' progress. And a very special thanks to those who were able to bring their student to the conference. I'm a firm believer in the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child," so I'm happy that we can work as a team to determine the pathways of success for them.

I talked to a few of you about extra help after school to help students complete homework or catch up on some concepts they may be struggling with. As I said, I will be available on most Tuesdays and Thursdays between 3:15pm and 4:00pm. If you would like your student to receive extra help, practice, or tutoring after school, please inform me one day in advance so I can tell you if I'm available. You can have your student inform me or you can email me directly. I may expand my hours based on the amount of families interested in this. Stay posted for more updates.

I will be unavailable this week for tutoring and extra practice as I am currently in the process of moving. I will be available starting next week. Please email me if you have any other thoughts, questions, or concerns.

Ask your students if they have homework. They have a Social Studies test this Friday that they all should be filling out a study guide for and studying for.

Pay to Dress

This Friday marks another Pay-To-Dress day where students who bring $2 can wear free dress.

Picture Re-Takes

This is a friendly reminder that picture re-takes will be on Wednesday December 2nd, 2015 from 8am-1pm. Please be sure to bring your old photo packets to the picture re-takes. Students will be able to get re-takes for no additional cost. To avoid confusion, please bring the old photo packets to me, and not the office.
