Superintendent's Message
Dear JUHSD Community,
It has been a full week in JUHSD!
We kicked off the week with Pacifica's Fog Fest! I want to thank our amazing student leaders who did an awesome job representing their schools and our district, along with board members, staff and administrators from each of our schools. I enjoyed visiting with families, and appreciated the opportunity to shine a light on our amazing district. We rock!
Again, student leaders, school staff and administrators, the school board and I came together to greet our future 9th grade students and families at last night's High School School Fair. Families got a chance to hear about each site, as well as learn about our CTE program, our Serramonte Del Rey Development, and the registration process. Thanks to our Director of Communication and Staff Housing, Austin Worden, as he pulled it all together. It was a great night!
Finally, the Jefferson Grizzlies cheered their classmates on during during their homecoming rally today. Good luck to both Jeff and TN at their football games tonight!
Without hesitation, I can say that school spirit is alive and well within our district community. To see a few photos from these events, scroll through today's Update.
Have a great weekend, and remember that my door is always open.
Warmly,
Toni Presta
Superintendent

District Tee Shirt Sale
Many staff members, districtwide, have asked about the new black tee shirt being sported by District Office employees. As a fundraiser for their DO Sunshine Committee, these shirts were sold in early September. If you would like to purchase one, please click HERE.
Please note that 21 shirts must be sold in order for the shirt to ship and the deadline to order has been extended to October 4, 2022.
Please contact Austin Worden, District Director of Communication and Staff Housing with any questions you may have.
Terra Nova Cleans Up!
On Saturday, September 20, Terra Nova High science class students, along with members from the school's Anime Club, took part in Pacifica's annual California Coastal Clean Up Day. Students volunteered their morning picking up trash at San Pedro Creek, Linda Mar Beach, and Sharp Park Beach. JUHSD thanks these TN students, along with science teacher and advisor Marlene Gutierrez, for helping out in their oceanside community!
