A Yellow Card That Led To Tragedy

The Story

April 27th, 2013

After an Junior High goalie was given a yellow card for full-out shoving another player at a soccer game, he lost his temper. The referee was Ricardo Portillo from Utah. After the call was made, the player punched Portillo in the head. When Portillo arrived at the hospital, he seemed to be in fair condition but slipped into a coma and had swelling on his brain. Portillo died soon after in the hospital.
