April 2016

What's Going On?

Join the Stratford PTA

Our PTA depends on parent participation and we currently have many committees that are not filled. In addition, we also run many events and we need your help to make them successful. Without more parents, we will not be able to continue this important work for the school year 2016-2017. Please come to our meeting on April 20th at 7:00 p.m. and see how you can make a difference in your child’s school life and the life of others. Contact Karen Sapp with any questions.

PARCC Testing Begins April 11

PARCC Testing will take place April 11-13 and April 18-20. It's very important that students:

  • Get at least 8 hours of sleep
  • Eat breakfast each morning (Breakfast is available before school as well)
  • Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated

Each of these small steps will help your student to do their very best on these assessments. Students can practice PARCC here.

Summer STEM Camp Opportunity

CCSD93 is excited to announce that June 20-24, 2016, we will host a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Summer Camp for just $35 for interested students throughout the District entering grades 3-8 in 2016-17!

The camp itself will be held at Cloverdale School. Students entering grades 3 and 4 will learn the basics of robotics and computer coding in a fun and immersive Robotics & Coding Camp. Students entering grades 5-8 will discover the amazing properties of water and our role in conserving the planet's most valuable resource at the STEM H2O Camp. The H2O camp is being provided thanks to our partnership with Discovery EducationTM.
