Thank a Teacher Day

Thursday 26th May is national ‘Thank a Teacher’ day. You can register your interest and send messages of support at thankateacher.co.uk

Concerns

Don’t forget that if you have any concerns about things that happen in school you should direct these to your child’s class teacher in the first instance. They know your child well and are best equipped to explain about learning or social issues. If you subsequently feel that you would like to raise a formal complaint, the procedure for this can be found on our website.

School Uniform

Please remember that we expect children to be in the correct school uniform at all times. The list of appropriate items of clothing can be found on our website.

Bee Week

Don't forget that starting next Monday we will be kicking off 'Bee Week.' On Wednesday 18th May we invite all children to wear black and yellow if they would like.

Our school is part of an exciting science project funded by the Royal Society to investigate which is the greatest animal of all. Over the course of the study we hope to find out lots about bees, with the aim of possibly keeping a colony in the wildlife area.

Sports Day

Reminder - our sports day will be held on the afternoon of 26th May and will be open to parents to spectate. The gates will open for Parents from 1:15pm with a view to starting the first race at 1:30pm.

School Lunches

Special Lunch Reminder - On Thursday 19th May the cook will be making our Special Refuel Yourself Meal of Chicken Wrap or Tomato Pasta.

We will therefore be swapping the Sausage in a Bun to Tuesday.

Please see the new Summer 2022 Lunch menu below. Next week we will be on Week 1 of lunches.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.

Packed Lunches - if you are sending grapes in your child's packed lunch, can you please ensure that these are cut in half.
