Hello Parents!


Welcome to another week here at the Rock! This past Friday we enjoyed celebrating some 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade IB award winners; seeing our grade levels come together in one big digital forum warmed my heart and reminded me of what is in store when we are able to return together again! Our K, 2nd, and 4th grade students will enjoy their assemblies in October.


Our students have been working exceptionally hard during distance learning and we thank you for your ongoing support and patience. We remain committed to supporting you as necessary and remind you to reach out to us should have questions or need anything at all.


We are currently seeking candidates willing to serve a two-year term on our School Site Council (SSC). Our SSC is a group of teachers, parents, administrators, and interested community members who work together to develop and monitor a school's improvement plan. We meet approximately four times per year. If you are interested, please fill out the form below; we will vote at a later date. Thank you for your consideration!


Also, our Castle Rock Community Club has been hard at work planning this year's educational fundraiser. As you might imagine, school budgets have been significantly impacted by school closures, and every donation counts! This year's drive starts on September 16. More information will be emailed to you on that date; however, please see the flyer below for a "sneak peek". Also, please consider "beating the heat" this Thursday and Friday by visiting Cold Stone Creamery on Valley and Grand in Walnut after 2:30 pm. Just mention Castle Rock and 15% of your bill will be donated back to us. Yum!

Free Meal Service Extended!

The USDA announced the extension of summer meal waivers through Dec. 31st. Students are able to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. Meals can be picked up at several curbside meal distribution locations by a parent/guardian. Parents/guardians have the option to pick up for all students at one location. Your student does NOT have to be present.
