Shout-outs
All of the Shout-outs for September:
Raelynne Robinson- helped a friend clean up a water spill at lunch!
Landon McPeak- recognized a lunch box left on a bus and volunteered to take the lunch box to the owner!
Jackson Plummer- asked to move and sit with a new friend at lunch who was sitting alone.
Alivia Knight- picking up trash in the bathroom
Landon McPeak- returning a student's water bottle that was left in the cafeteria
Alex Knight- picking up a student's money and returning it to them when they dropped it
Raelee Bowman- helping her sister clean up her room
Palmer Morgan- finding a lunch box on the bus and returning it to the owner
Kaylee Lawson- being kind and giving a little girl one of her favorite kittens
Adelynn Davis- calming a student during a safety drill
Madison Marshall- being kind and helping a student clean up their pencil box when it spilled
Houston Pyrtle- helping the sub bus driver find his house; he was calm and knew exactly where to turn- he is very smart!
Robert Collins- for helping a classmate clean up a spill in the cafeteria
Jase Stevens- for wiping off a table and throwing away trash that was not his; being very helpful!
NEW:
Lexi Cook- for helping a student up when she fell and making sure she was okay.
Lincoln Seibert- for bringing in lost jackets from the playground without being asked.
Raelynne Robinson- for picking up trash in the girls’ restroom
Leah Sells- for bringing a lunch box to a classmate.
Coralynn Boles- for picking up extra paper towels/trash in the girls’ restroom that was not her mess. Thank you for being a responsible and kind student.
Sadie Vernon- for helping clean up a spill in the cafeteria without being asked when a kindergarten student dropped his baked beans.
Payton Todd- for helping Mrs. Cox carry in bags/supplies for Club Day.
Eli Todd- for helping Mrs. Cox carry in bags/supplies for Club Day.
These students' Shout-outs were entered into a drawing for the September Student of the Month. The winner was Robert Collins! Robert will receive a new school t-shirt, thanks to an anonymous donor! Congratulations to Robert!
All staff members' names were entered into a drawing for September Staff Member of the Month- as all have made contributions to ensure the success of the beginning of our school year. The winner was Mr. Andrew Young! Congratulations to Mr. Young!

Volunteers Needed
Are you available from 1:00-2:00 on the last Wednesday of the month?
We are having Club Days as a PBIS reward for good behavior. Students with good behavior will be able to select a club to participate in and learn more about such as learning how to dance, stay fit or play a few sports, garden, work the Rubik's Cube, do STEM activities, or cook. We would love to have more help and more options for students. Contact Mrs. Cox if you are interested and willing to volunteer.
WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR PTA MEMBERS/OFFICERS! CONTACT THE SCHOOL OFFICE, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. You may also choose to join the PTA meeting on Thursday, October 6 at 5:30 PM in the Media Center. We would love to have you there!
Recent Events
September 16 was Teacher Assistant Appreciation Day- thank you to Mrs. Donna Collins and Mrs. Brandi James for providing assistance to our students! Mrs. Collins works with our kindergarten students and Mrs. James works with Mrs. Julie Collins and our students of all grades in the EC program.
September 20 was International IT Professionals Day- thank you to Wyshona Lawson as well as Sara, Amanda, Brooke, Sonja, Karen, Bob, and Robert who all work to keep our technology working well and teaching all of us how to use it, or how to use it better!
October 3 was National Custodians' Day- thank you to Matt and Darlene for taking care of our school.

October 3- Fall Picture Day
October 7- FREE Ice Cream Friday! Every student gets free ice cream thanks
to an anonymous donor.
October 8- PTA will be selling drinks at the Foothills Farm Festival. They need canned drinks and volunteers!
October 10-14- National School Lunch Week! The theme this year is Peace, Love, and School Lunch. To celebrate, we are dressing in our Hippie Wear on Wednesday, October 12! Bell Bottoms, Tie-Dye, Flower Power, Head Bands, and throwing Peace Signs!
October 24-28- Red Ribbon Week
October 26- Club Day
October 28- End of 1st Quarter
October 31- Make-up School Day
