Happy New Year to you all! Welcome back to our children, whanau and friends. It is so lovely to see our children back at school, with happy smiles and lots of excitement to see old and new friends!
We would also like to welcome Ollie Cooze-O'Brien, Brodie Lee and Phoenix Lee who have joined the Nga Whetū Team. We are so happy to have you all at Spring Creek School.
Over the summer break, the verandah was completed outside the Studio Hub, creating another great space at SCS. We are so proud of how amazing our kura is looking and excited about our plans for further development of our school environment this year. We will share these with you all soon.
This term we are excited to offer breakfast club at 8am with supervised care as well as after school care until 3.30pm. Oscars also offer after school care with pick ups from Spring Creek School. Please see information below. We are also very fortunate to be part of the Ka Ora, Ka Ako Healthy lunches scheme and all children will receive a free tasty and nutritious lunch each day. If your child has any dietary restrictions, please ensure you let Cara know if you haven’t already done so.
Our whole school hui celebration will now be on Tuesday mornings on even weeks from 9-9.30am. All whanau are welcome to attend and you will be notified if your child is presenting at hui or if they are receiving a hui award.
We are looking for support to run our breakfast club (daily 8-8.30am) and also to support with road patrol in the afternoons (2.55-3.15pm). If you are able to help or would like to know more information, please see Cara or myself.
We would like to invite our children, whanau and friends to a whanau evening on Wednesday 15 February from 5-6pm. This will be an opportunity to meet with the teachers and look through the learning spaces and you are welcome to bring along your dinner as well. We will be sending out a notice next week,
Also on Wednesday 15 February we will be working on our Butterfly and Bee Garden with support from Sandy at Bunnings. If any of our whanau would like to join us and help with this project, please see Cara in the office.
Coming home this week will be our whanau information booklet, the Netsafe agreement for whanau and children to sign, a contact details form and our Setting Up for Success form to be completed and returned to school. If you need any support of have any questions, please get in touch with myself or Cara.
Have a fantastic week everyone.
