Biology classes had students create their own analogy of cell structure. Did you know the Principal is the nucleus of the campus…..
Math classes incorporate movement and collaboration as students determine the domain and range of each function.

9TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL
9TH GRADE FOOTBALL
The Freshman boys continued their undefeated HEB campaign Thursday night, beating Central 27-7.
The scoring started with a long TD pass to Miles Erickson from Aden Madsen. The Broncos scored two times in the first 30 seconds of the 3rd quarter when Cam Thomas returned the kickoff for a TD and then Cameron Johnson recovered a fumble which lead to a Jackson Zajicek Touchdown run. The scoring was capped off by another long Touchdown run by Cam Thomas.
Shout out to the Offensive Line: Cole Hoercher, Brett Adcock, Arden Wolfe, Eric Avila, and Malakai creating humongous holes for our running backs to get through.
The defense was stifling all game. BIG MALAKAI was wreaking havoc from the D line along with Brandon Myers and Lorenzo Martinez. Mason Erickson and Eric Avila had a party in the backfield getting huge tackles for losses in key moments.
The B team also played but fell to Central 20-12. They fell behind early but outplayed the Spartans in the 2nd half. Julian Monzon and Emilio Garcia punched in TDs for the team, and Jayden Loya, Jackson Graham, and Azael Velazquez played hard in the 2nd half to keep the game close.
8TH GRADE FOOTBALL
The 8th grade A team came out strong with great defensive play by Caleb Walton to intercept the opening pass of the game. Slowing down a bit for the rest of the first half the game was tied 0-0 going into halftime. Coming out with an electric kick-off return by Nik Heh the Bronco team never looked back. Hard running by Tui capped off a 50-yard drive with a touchdown. Kole Martin made an amazing tackle in the end zone to force a safety extending the Bronco lead 9-0. The Broncos got the ball late in the game with a chance to drive down the field to close the game out. Following the blocking of his offensive line, Jake Preskinis scores the go-ahead touchdown to complete the Broncos' first win of the season.
The 8th grade B team lost a nail-biter of a game against Grapevine Middle School. Coming up just a few plays short of completing a game-winning drive. The B team lost 0-6 against Grapevine Middle School.
8TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL
7TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL
Monday night 7th grade volleyball Team 2 took Grapevine by storm, coming home with another win and moving us to 5-1 in the district. The girls took a commanding lead in set one, crushing the Ponies 25-9 with amazing service pressure from everyone, but especially Kaylee Rinn, Serenity Williams, and Adalyn McCollum. In set 2 Grapevine gave us a challenge but our girls never stopped working and came away with the 25-19 win. Darina Grantcharova, Abigail Eschbacher, and Harlie Higgs really found their groove from the service line and Jenna Fuchs, Ridgely Keith, and Brooklyn Williams made some great plays for us defensively.
7TH GRADE FOOTBALL
The 7th grade Broncos football A team started with a bang Monday night against Grapevine Middle. Quarterback Braylon Harris connected on a first throw touchdown to Gavin Roberson for over 50 yards. The Broncos never let up as Braylon Harris threw another impressive touchdown to Jake McAlister, and Braylon got another touchdown on the ground.
That wasn't all. Andre Aguillard and Cody Vong both ran in impressively long touchdowns making multiple Ponies miss. Our offensive line blocked well all night long! Big shout out to the hogs in the trenches. On defense our boys were dominant all night long, led by Douglas Landfair who snagged two interception. Our Broncos beat Grapevine 42-14. Next week is a big matchup against rival Euless. Games start at 5 and 6:15 at the Central fields. Come out and support your Broncos as we chase a 3 game win streak!
The 7th grade B team boys played a fantastic game! Led by strong defensive play by Williams, Rodriquez, Boyer, Reyes, Brewer, White, Mendoza, Levya, Smith, Washington, Deck, Negron, Naeem, Higdon, Youngman, and Schlueter the B team held Grapevine to zero points. Offensive points were led by Kody Scott with three touchdowns, Diego Guzman with one touchdown, Ja'sean with one touchdown. Beating Grapevine with a final score of 29-0.

BJH GRADING POLICIES
Late Work Policy
It is the philosophy of Bedford Junior High School that allowing a student to not complete all
assignments (and thus receiving a zero on the assignment) is unacceptable. In an effort to ensure that zeroes are kept to a minimum, the following policies will apply to all grades and subjects.
1. If a class assignment or homework assignment is not turned in at the designated time (and therefore late), the student may turn the assignment in to the teacher by 8:20 a.m. the next day past the due date. (For example, if a homework assignment is assigned on a Monday and due on Tuesday during the class time, it will be accepted until 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday.) However, work turned in during this time frame will receive a 30% deduction below the grade earned on the assignment. (For example, a late homework assignment turned in on a Wednesday in the above scenario that was 100% correct would earn a 70% in the teacher gradebook. A late homework assignment turned in on a Wednesday that was 90% correct would earn a 63% in the gradebook since 30% of 90 is 27.)
2. Class assignments or homework assignments not turned in during the above time frames may still be completed in Late Work Lunch Detention (LWLD). The teacher will submit the student’s name on a Google document. Lunch detention is served on the stage in the cafeteria. There is a maximum of 2 days to complete the assignment.
3. Students are responsible for notifying the teacher once work is completed. Work submitted during this time frame will receive a maximum grade of 50. If the work is not completed during this time, students may receive a zero and a referral may be written.
Gradebook Codes
- 0 for students that cannot make up assignment (i.e. cheating, did not turn in the work, or earned a zero on the assignment)
- 1 for students that work is incomplete, potentially turn into a zero or a 50
- X for students that are exempt from assignment
- Z for students that were absent and can get full credit
