Valentine's Day
There are also 5 second graders in Ms. Rhea's class that join us every day for science/social studies, lunch, and specials every day. You do not have to include them in your treat count, but I know many of our students consider them a part of our class, so I will also include them on our class list so our students have the option of including them.
Family and Friends Lunch
Due to the Family and Friends lunch day for other grade levels, our lunch time will be affected on the following days: February 3 and February 10. Please do not plan to eat with your child on these days as we will be following our early release lunch schedule and eating in the room. Thank you!

BYOD Info
Thank you to all that have sent in device permission slips. I am attaching a special edition BYOD newsletter to the weekly newsletter email that answers all the questions about when devices can be used, what you may need to do at home, etc. The BYOD newsletter is also linked on eClass in the newsletter section.
Here is a video that you may have seen if you went to the BYOD meeting when your child was in first grade. All the same information applies, including the suggested apps.
The apps I will use most often for instruction in our class are Brainpop Jr., QR Reader, and Kahoot.

About Ms. Bettler
My family means the world to me. We are all very close. We love going to Disney World - my brother and I are huge roller coaster junkies and nostalgic 20-somethings. We also love playing with our bichon frise puppy, Sophie. She is such a trouble maker! In June 2016 I'll add on an extension to the family when I marry my fiancee, David!
Music is a very important part of my life. I have been playing piano since I was six years old. I have also been involved in some sort of choir or band since fifth grade.
As a teacher, my goal is to make sure that students know how valuable they are! It's not about if a child is smart, but HOW a child is smart. I strive to help each child see their own potential to make a difference in this world and give them the tools to succeed.
