Welcome Back
Pack-a-Snack Program
Over the past few years our school district has seen a very significant increase in the number of students who have food allergies and other dietary restrictions. Therefore, we have implemented a "Pack-a-Snack" program for all students in Grades 4k-5. Each day you would like your child to have a healthy classroom snack, please pack one in their backpack. Healthy snacks would include fruits, veggies, whole grains, and proteins. All classrooms will be "NUT FREE Classrooms".
Some snack options are: Any fruit or vegetable, yogurt tubes, string cheese, crackers, teddy grahams.
Birthdays - A New Celebration
We know that birthdays are important to every child and that kids like to celebrate with their teacher and classmates. However, sending in a food treat to the classroom to celebrate can exclude those children who have food allergies, diabetes or other dietary restrictions.
This health risk has increased dramatically in our own district and we will no longer be allowing students to bring in birthday food/drink treats, but we will continue to celebrate your child's birthday in other ways.
Carnival
Please join us activities that will take place behind the school and in the west parking lot.

Football Home Games at UWP Stadium
The administration at the University has asked us to inform everyone that there is still small pieces of glass and other potentially dangerous debris within the stadium/under bleacher columns/in the surrounding grassy areas. The university will flag off all dangerous sections but we as parents need to make sure our children are not running around unsupervised and potentially hurting themselves or others.
