Welcome Class of 2027 & New Students

We are so happy and excited to be welcoming you to Somerset Berkley Regional High School for the 2023-24 school year. It's a new day and a new year and we are eager to get going with our new school year! I urge you, even if you never have before, to get involved in all SBRHS has to offer. I also strongly encourage you to check your email for updates as the administration, teachers and staff utilize this on a regular basis for disseminating information out to our student body and their families. Please take the time to read through this newsletter as it contains some very important information about our upcoming year. We are still preparing, so please stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Matthew Talbot as the Grade 9 Assistant Principal for this upcoming school year. Mr. Talbot has been in Somerset and Somerset Berkley Regional School District for over two decades, most recently as the Content Coordinator for the Science Department. He is eager and excited to take on this new role and looks forward to meeting his students and families soon!

On behalf of the faculty and staff, we are dedicated to helping our students achieve their goals and, perhaps, even create new goals that they didn't even know they had! We are here for you to achieve in your academics, but also care about you as individuals and people. If you need any assistance or guidance, please reach out to your teachers, counselors, or administrators--we are all here to help! Work hard and dream big! As some of you are already realizing, these four years go by very fast--make the most of them! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Dr. Susan Brelsford

School Supplies

At the high school level, charged Chromebooks and checking email on a regular basis are the essential school supplies for day one! The first week of school, teachers will disseminate syllabi which will detail individual classroom expectations in terms of supplies. Most classes require some type of binder/folder/notebook and, of course, writing utensils. Again, more information will be forthcoming by teachers during the first week of school.

Bus Routes

Bus routes will be finalized when our administrative assistants return in a few weeks. It is important that students are prepared a few minutes early during the first week of school as bus routines get established.

Bus routes do not change dramatically from year to year. So, to get an idea of what bus route your child is on, please see the attached routes from the 2022-23 school year. When we finalize this year's routes, they will be uploaded onto the school website.
