Choose Your Learning Preference - Remote or Blended Learning
Families have the option of choosing to have their child attend school solely through remote learning at any time. Families who have previously chosen remote only learning will have the opportunity to opt into blended learning for the remainder of the school year between November 2 and November 15. In-person learning will begin during the weeks of November 30 and December 7 for students opting in for the blended learning model. Schools will contact parents on the schedule based on programming and space capacity.

Remote Learning Devices
NYC has purchased an additional 100,000 LTE-enabled iPads for the DOE to distribute to schools for remote and blended learning. Families who still need a device should fill out the Remote Learning Device (RLD) Request Form as soon as possible.
Need technical support? Please visit https://www.schools.nyc.gov/learning/learn-at-home/technical-tools-and-support/ipads-and-laptops/technical-support-for-familiestroubleshooting or call # 718-935-5100.
iPad Repairs and Replacement Procedures
If a family’s centrally-loaned iPad is damaged or not functioning properly, the device should be returned to the main office for the school point-of-contact for technology (SPOC), who handles tech issues in the school. That staff member should open a Help Desk ticket to have the iPad device replaced or repaired.
Learning Bridges
The Learning Bridges program provides free childcare options for parents of students in grades 3-K through 8, on days when they are scheduled for remote learning. The Learning Bridges childcare is only available to students who are registered for blended learning, and is only available on the days that students are scheduled for remote learning. The Learning Bridges program for IS 141 is operated by HANAC, a community-based organization, under contract with Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).
