Gators of the Week - Work hard. Get smart. Do good.

Gators of the Week: Gator Grapplers finish as 5A Runner - Up

Work hard. River Bluff's Wrestling team competed for the second time in three years for a 5A state title. They came up a little short finishing as Runner Up, but the team and coaches have a tremendous amount to be proud of. In three years, this team has won two Lower State Titles, three Region Titles and one State Title. The best is yet to come. Thank you to our Seniors whose leadership has set a legacy of hard work and success.

Gators of the Week: Swamp Bots Qualify for State Competition

Get smart: Students competing in our inaugural Robotics team competitions have really learned a tremendous amount this year. In their first year of competitions they have won two judges awards and have qualified for the state competition in March in Charleston. Spending afternoons and weekends working on solutions to our robot, they have problem solved and collaborated at the highest level. Thank you to Ms. Waldy and Coach Crocker for their leadership. The best is yet to come.

Gators of the Week: Students Serve Others

Do good. It is not uncommon to see our students helping one another with academic work. We pride ourselves in doing good no matter the need. One of our Algebra students Roderick has a heart for teaching. He always wants to be the teacher. While finishing the stations started on Wednesday he was found sitting here teaching some of the students Intermediate Algebra. Great job.

Signing Out Procedures

A reminder to parents regarding signing students out during the school day. Someone from the student's sign out sheet must come in and show ID to dismiss a child. We do not accept phone calls or emails for dismissal. You can come in on Monday to sign your child out during the week but only up until Friday of the same week. Also, if you are dismissing your child during ILT, then it is helpful to have made arrangements with the student ahead of time. We appreciate your help to assist in making this process efficient.

Counseling and Advisement Assignments for Students

Counseling and Advisement Team

The Counseling & Advisement team is working towards a more intentionally focused program to provide students with the best support. Rather than counselors having students in all grade levels (9-12), we are realigning to be able to more appropriately serve students’ transitional needs at the different levels. This realignment will also more closely mirror our CREW design allowing students to stay with their school counselor their 9th and 10th grade years and then have another counselor their 11th and 12th grade years.
