Principal Message
Dear Henry Families,
There is still time to register for the no cost Henry STEAM night! We are excited for this new opportunity at Magic House MADE and thank the PTO for making this happen. Scroll down for the link to sign up.
Later this week we will begin a fundraiser to raise funds for new furniture at our school. The fundraiser is called Read-A-Thon. The premise is for funds to be donated based on your children reading! We kick this off at the end of Read Across America week to keep excitement for reading going for the next few weeks before spring break. Please look for more information to come home with your child later this week!
Thank you to all of our supporters who attended the Henry PTO Trivia Night. It was a great time and so well organized! Thank you to all of our volunteers who made this such a successful night!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jodi Oliver

STEAM Registration Still Open, A Message from Mrs. Frazzle!
A Message from Nurse Munch
Spring allergy season is just around the corner. Common symptoms include sneezing, itchy or runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, headache, or cough. Encouraging children to wash their hands and face after being outside on windy days or staying indoors can help. However, if your child has persistent symptoms consider speaking with your health care provider about medication which can help control symptoms.
Symptoms of spring allergies can overlap with colds and the flu. As a reminder, to help minimize the spread of illness, children should stay home if they have:
- A fever of equal or greater than 100.4. If a child has a fever they must stay home until they have been fever free for 24 hours without taking medication to reduce their fever
- Vomiting. If a child vomits, they should stay home for 24 hours after the last episode
- Diarrhea. If a student has more than one episode of diarrhea, they need to stay home until symptoms have resolved for 24 hours.
- Persistent cough or significant nasal congestion, especially if allergy medication doesn't seem to be helping. Even if your child doesn't have a fever, if they are feeling unwell, it is hard for them to learn and they can spread germs to others.
If you would like your child to receive medication at school, like Tylenol or Zyrtec, the following form needs to be submitted along with the medication in the original packaging. All medication must be FDA approved prescription or over the counter medication. Medication Authorization Form
