Library Update
Berthoud Community Library
Hello to our Wonderful Community,
Due to the Stay at Home Mandates from the County and the State, we had to close the library building. Since we are not listed as an Essential Business, I cannot legally have my employees leave home to come to work in the library building. If this changes, we'll be sure to let you know via our Facebook page and the library's website.
That doesn’t mean that the library is entirely closed. Please remember that we have a large selection of e-books and e-audiobooks that can be checked out even if the library building isn’t open, as well as a number of subscription-only research tools and streaming services for you to use while you’re staying at home. You can find those under “Online Resources” on the library’s website:
www.berthoudcommunitylibrary.org
If you sign in to your accounts, you’ll notice that the soonest you have any items due is now April 21. You’ll need to keep any library items you currently have at home with you until the 'Stay at Home' Mandates are lifted, both because you aren’t cleared to leave home for the purpose of returning library items and because we can’t legally have anyone at the library right now to check in anything.
So re-read, re-watch, or re-listen to whatever you have checked out and enjoy—then bring those items back after we reopen.
Please enjoy all our online services, and know that we eagerly look forward to offering you our full line of services as soon as is it safe and legal for us to do so.
Missing you all,
Amie Pilla, Library CEO
On behalf of the full library staff and board
